Ah, that brings back memories. I used to love Fry's Chocolate Cream bars too. Why man, when they brought out the fruit variety, it seemed heaven had arrived on earth!

Hi There, oh me oh my, I have never ever seen my favorite sweets when a child.. American Cream Soda which was sherbit and yummy...but its what you dipped in it that made it out of this world, and I cannot remember the name, but it looked like a small twig from a branch and you chewed on it, dipped it in the sherbit and WOW ! it was devine...sadly have yet to come across it, but living in hopes [-o<

When lemonade was still rationed used to put it in a bottle and make our own drinks, Can also remember my mothers ginger beer plant we got our ginger beer drinks from.

I thought about 1951 it was rationed, along with sweets.

I remember when our neighbour gave my baby brother a glass of home made ginger beer. He took a mouthful spat it out and wanted to know who put the prickles in it.
