My name's Paul, I'm a South Shields lad, borne and bred.

I'm a trainee reporter at the Chronicle in Newcastle and I cover South Tyneside area for news and events.

Cheers for the replies and advice.

I've had guidance from Jimmy about what I can and can't get away with - I'm not looking to rip anyone off here though. I'll speak with people who get in touch with me before doing anything. I'd certianly be researching everything before writing anything anyway.

Axeman, cheers, that's certianly the type of thing I'm after. I'll have a look into that and see what the deal is.

is your spelling a sign of 'the 'times' (or should that be the Journal)? You were certainly carried by your mother, but I certainly think you were born (and not 'borne') and bred in the area.
