NHS number
Who would I contact to find out my NHS no. after all these years. I have been tearing the house apart looking for something that would have it written on?

Re: NHS number
It would be on any tax forms/letters you may have received, or any old payslipscushy butterfield wrote:Who would I contact to find out my NHS no. after all these years. I have been tearing the house apart looking for something that would have it written on?
from when you worked in the UK. Delilahcat may be able to give you more info.
Re: NHS number
I don't know whether doctors or hospitals in Canada have that sort of access, butnorthern wrote:Try asking your doctor or hospital to get it for you.
worth a try, no doubt they would charge for the information over there.

no drs here would not have that access and it was over 26 years ago since I worked there so dont have any pay slips. Wonder if there is a website I can go on? surely they must still have a record somewhere?

Thanks Baldy, looks like I will have to look harder at home to find something with it on. Cos it all seems double dutch to me. I used to work for the Inland Revenue in South Shields and Newcastle so I am sure they have a record of it somewhere.

Re: NHS number
Why do you need it?
If you have a UK passport you are entitled to NHS care you don't need an NHS number. I doubt anyone will ask you for it.

Cushy requires her NHS number to check whether she's entitled to a pension or not.

Thats right Baldy, worked in the UK for quite a few years before coming over here. So I hope to get at least a little something.

since leaving school and he's not sure if his job's safe

I see in the news that cabinate minister Hazel Blears is saying that we should protect the immigrants against hate during this recession.
Excuse me but how about protecting the ethnic english against all the cheap labour flooding the country
