Isn't Costorphine town the name for Templetown just before it turns into Commercial Road?
Was that just the street name, or the name for the whole area? I thought that part was known as Templetown, as was the pit there.
I had some photos of the pub on that corner, before they knocked it down.
Can't remember the name of it now. Never understood why they let it fall into ruin. Was it the Neptune?

Yes the Commercial is still there, its a pub I have never been in, a couple of years ago it was featured in a brewery advert,
with the dray pulling up outside.
