Agree with Sless on this, didn't Roxannes take over from Ruperts? we never went to Shields nightclubs, always up in Newcastle especially the Bacchus and the Stage Door

Should have tried the Crown @ Tyne Dock. Became a night club after the bingo. What an experiance, more comonly rerfered to as a pint and a fight. Also remember calling the La Strada the claggy mat, on acount of the carpets.

I remember The Crown ,,, 
Paddy and Black Bob on the doors ...it was a dive ,but had some canny nights in there ........
especialy years ago ,they use to have Rock n Roll nights on wednesdays .., i love to jive to the oldies.. 
pettiecoat skirts ,lots of underlace ,,and a flash of the stockings as we spin....they were good nights..
