Was playing at Annie McCarthy's in Shields last night and the barmaid was telling me that apparently 'Most Haunted' want to go there for the next series, and she showed me a couple of pretty spooky photos. In one there was what looked like a misty woman all in white sitting on the bar, you could see her face and detailing on her dress. They've got some old newspaper articles about the building as well with some interesting stuff in them.

Maybe, just maybe, ghosts are associated with pubs because they are associated with alcohol, the more you drink the more you imagine you see! In my 58 years I have never seen anything I could possibly say was a ghost, I have never met anybody who could prove to me or convince me that ghosts exist therefore I dont believe it ghosts, but I have been known to be wrong sometimes.

One of my teacher friends (who is a little bit whacky) and his wife did a tour of England in a little van about 5 years back. They were a bit short of ready cash and so once they spent the night in the local cemetery. Just parked the car in amongst the graves, apparently, and went to sleep. He said it was very quiet and peaceful there.
Not a ghost in sight.

marra wrote:i believe my flat is haunted as i did an experiment with my camcorder with telly and lights off and these little balls of light flew round my sitting room floor i still have them on tape

p.s if on halloween a virgin closes his/her eyes and turns round 3 times with eyes shut holding a lighted candle any ghosts in the vicinity will make themselves appear

make of it what you will
You or some of the boardies may have missed their big chance then marra (if they are virgins, that is, but we don't want to go there LOL) .
Walpurgis night was April 30th I think. All the portals to the next world are sposed to be open that night.

I dont believe or disbelieve but I've seen some pretty frightening sights in my life.

Especially after about 11-o-clock or at the local dance hall.
