nothing at all dear boy. I once went into that shopping centre to buy a packet of tabs and get change for the tunnel. Nobody attacked me, my alloy wheels were not touched and only one dog tried for my ankles. I really was most impressed. Nice Greggs if memory serves.

Historically, Sanddancers have always said "The only good thing about Sunderland is the road leading out of it".
I remember when I was a young lad there were always battles between Sandys and Mackems....they used to take turns visiting each others fairgrounds.....all good clean fun!

Where do you get your history from?
Never heard that in all my 46 years
I hate the mackem accent
BUT
i dont think anybody could argue the worst and most common accent in the world is from out friends down the road in newcastle
especially the (and i use this l term loosely) the woman
and cheez i expect you couldnt have complained if somebody had nicked ur alloys Cos how else could you have got em
But i am surprised you can get alloys for a shopping trolley

I think the fact you had friends from Pennywell and survived to tell the tale makes you a full mackem!!!!
I'm only a mackem through marriage though.......(I even made sure I gave birth in South Shields!)

Well I live in Sunderland, used to live in Durham, was born in Newcastle, and go to college in Shields and have a sand-dancer crossed with public school gal accent...so I'm a little confused lol. I think I'm an honorary everything!
