I was chatting with a few others from the board on MSN, and we realised that the good old Sunday roast is now a thing of the past. I'd rather get a pizza

you must be single living in a one bedroom flat living on alcoholic beverages.. we had a roast last night in fact….. I don’t know one person in australia that doesn’t like them.. the thing with a roast is that it can be a bit time consuming and with australian way of life changing so much, and I’m guessing over seas as well, that households mainly have both of the parents working in one way or another leaving little time of luxuries such as roast….. I cook mine with sweet chilli sauce, it sits on top of the oil and as you drop in the vegi’s etc it sticks to it and cooks with it giving it a unique flavour that’s almost orgasmic.. lol… well it’s not quite that good… but nearly. .. :P

Most people still like roasts but maybe they are not for any set day as they were in the past.
I like lamb roast with baked pumpkin etc. Excellent. Price of lamb has shot up lately though.

Hmm so spodge is a millionaire. I was idly wondering though why she needed the 5 different bedrooms, when Gregg King with his king sized assets is obviously kept close by .

I'm single living in a one-bed flat and living on alcoholic beverages and I've cooked myself a roast in the past, good to have the leftovers the next morning as well :5obsessed:

Quite proud of myself when I did it too!

Having said that, it's not something I engage in often as cooking a roast just takes too long and is too much effort.

With a pizza you just pop it in the oven for 10 minutes and that's it.

Hardly ever have a roast on sunday...it's usually sometime in the week when one of us has been arsed to go shopping and has time to cook it. Lamb roasted with bacon and rosemary...mmm....

My mum makes the best roast potatoes ever!

There is always one gourmet cook on every board (and it isn't me). Sitting here thinking... what on earth are mange touts?? They sound..mangey. Looked them up on the internet... I wonder if they are the equivalent to our snow peas?

Anyway, cj, sounds like a top class meal. Maybe just add some pumpkin though and it would be * even better*.
