Thomas Egan born c1852 Galway
Thomas Egan born c1852 Galway
Thos Egan born in Galway 1851/1852, married in Corbridge 1878, and then settled in South Shields with his 3 children - Mary, John, and Nora who were all born between 1880 & 1890. I am trying to trace any information on Thomas e.g. parents names, exact place of birth, brothers or sisters etc., or any stories of his life.
Re: Thomas Egan born c1852 Galway
John Egan, son of Thomas, was born in 1884. He lived in the Commercial Road area of South Shields, and had two daughters probably born around 1920.
Re: Thomas Egan born c1852 Galway
John Egan may have been married to a McNulty, and may also have had two sons. Where are all you Egans?
Re: Thomas Egan born c1852 Galway
There was a John Egan married Elizabeth Brown/Elizabeth Forster
at South Shields in 1912. It is to be assumed that Elizabeth Brown
was a widow and her maiden name was Forster. There is no record
of any other John Egan getting married in South Shields between
1905 and 1920.

I have some mates called Donny, Richard and John Egan, they also have a sister called Kathleen. Donny and Richard were born in the 50's and John in 1960
Re: Thomas Egan born c1852 Galway
Three was a John Thomas Egan married in 1904 which could be him as his middle name was Thomas after his father from Galway. It looks as if he may have had 5 children born between 1914 & 1923, three girls & two boys.Mr Smith wrote:There was a John Egan married Elizabeth Brown/Elizabeth Forster

I need to find any descendants who know anything about Thomas Egan who came over from Galway around the 1870s.
