Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham & the Boro are cities.

Shields is part of South Tyneside Coonsil.

middlesboro is not a city,it is still a town,a rotten smelly dump with people to match,it is a horrible place.
Please do not class it in the same list as Sunderland or Newcastle,anyway it is in bloody yorkshire.

Before Sunderland became city it was the largest town in the UK.

there is no way on gods earth ( i am not religious honest ) that middleborough is part of yorkshire. i would like to think boro is the place neither the north east or yorkshire wanted, i mean we have got leeds and huddersfield that are dumps so we don't need boro.
