Simonside church St Simons graveyard

im doing my family tree and know that a few of my family are buried in St Simons church graveyard ,but with no headstones so i have no idea where abouts they are buried .
is there anyone who has a map of the graveyard burials .
ive contacted the church and durham records but no luck .
any ideas welcome

Try South Tyneside Council they should have all the records.

If you know the name and apporox year of death they should be able to help

They found my Grandfathers grave in Jarrow cemetary.

I.ve got the number somewhere i'll dig it out for you.

Not sure about grave locations, but there is definately microfiche kicking about with headstone inscriptions for St Simons, probably a copy in the Library local history studies room, or in Bolbec Hall in Newcastle (next to the Station)

South Shields reference library has monumental books for each church grave yard in Shields.
The one for Saint Simons lists all grave names and dates, also map area of grave yard.

My grandmothers grave is unmarked, but by giving her name and approximate date of
her death; I got her grave number etc in Harton Cemetery from the link I posted
above, the service is free to relatives. If a lengthy search is required you have to pay.

I think it is just the marked graves that are logged in the book in ref library, i will double check next time im in library.
