Yes.......know what you're getting at...... it was only when I 'grew up' that I also began to wonder about Miss T. and Miss B. !!!!!!! As well as sharing a house, think they had a holiday home in Rothbury too.

That photo on here of 'what looks like' Mr Scurr says it's Mr Blachford. Never heard of him. What do you think?

Yeah....I also loved Miss Muir although not for the radiator shelf dimensions!!!

Do you remember Miss Bovill........her with the BIG stride! Got a story but I'll P.M. you.....

Notice, Memor, I'm talking away to YOU because I KNOW you're the only one listening![/b]

Also did you notice young looking Mr Morton (sniffer)

You made me all self conscious now. I send you big PM

Memor, after one whole week away from this site, I see no-one else has contributed. Sad!

Yes, Sniffer Morton.......did you know he sniffed because he was in a Japanese POW camp and the Japs pulled out all the hairs in his nose as a torture? There was nothing left to catch the snots!

True Story!!

strange thing is about the school message boards we have very few posts yet this message has been looked at over 736 times, so it just proves that someone does read them

You sound like you had nice time. Unlike rest of us who looked upon

Morty School as horrible Gulag.

You not have nasty Cane or Susie slipper. You had it really easy.

Worst thing teacher give you is nasty stare.

I like to meet idiot that said.

"School the happiest time of your life."

Hi Sandy and Memor sorry for the late reply but have been away for the last few weeks as it is summer here in NZ and therefore the annual holidays.
You mentioned in one of your posts that you used to live in St. Vincent Street Sandy, well so did I for a while at number 253, stayed with my Grandma for around 5 years from 1954 to 1959 when I left Morty then moved to Stockton on Tees for 5 years and then went to Sea as an engineer.
I have lived in Auckland NZ since 1974 and have been back to shields a number of times visiting friends and relatives and will be back again this year.

Cheers

Jim
