arr bless,,well at least you make the effort Sless, many men would be down the bar, waiting for chuck out time ,then stagger home to his Sunday Dinner.
My Granda did every week, he worked in at the pit all his life,, and every sunday he would visit the Horsley Hill Pub [not there now]it would take him an hour to get home,,one step forward, two steps back,,

Sad to say when you are all alone a Sunday roast is out of the question when you are cooking for one.
Mind you I will humbly accept any kind invitation to help you eat your Sunday roasts.

OH yea...LOVE a roast lamb, baked potatoes, baked pumpkin, and most of all baked onion..MMMMM
lamb has been a tad expensive lately but I can't resist. Beef and chicken just aren't as good as lamb.
I don't do a roast every sunday...mostly in winter...just an easy sunday tea in summer, and only a few roasts....too hot.
I've only had yorkshire pudding once, My brother in law is english and his mum cooked one once , It was nice.

As a kid right up until I left home to go to work for a living. Every Sunday my father would give my Mum a break from cooking and he would cook a roast meal. Roast duck, Roast Rabbit, Roast Pork, Roast Lamb, and Roast Beef and always roast vegetables and fresh greens all grown in me dad's garden. I loved the roast beef because for a while afterwards we had plenty of dripping to put on our bread. Yummy.
