Don't know if Miss Mighty still comes here, but if so tell your dad that one of our year has gone.miss mighty wrote:yeah john (jack) is my dad,
I was reading my mothers Gazette yesterday and I see Brian Hood has died.
He used to live around Horsley Hill somewhere and must of been ill for some time according to the wording.
Sad at only 50 yrs young.

I was at Redwell till 62, phew :)
Absaloutly! Ginger Roberts was really nasty especially to the lads, but he just loved to embarrass you, like he did me, funny, he would have been in big trouble for that..now!Cisco wrote:I went to Redwell, it only had one decent teacher in the whole school,
Mrs Anderson, only teacher I really liked.
Jonah Johnson was as mad as they come but good maths teacher.
Then you had the total b*stards like hamma hamilton and ginger Roberts,
bigheaded pricks.

In saying that, they are too soft at schools these days, hence no respect!

Cisco, hi there,Cisco wrote:You're right about Ken Chapman living there Jake, I knew him very well, still do, his health over last few years has not been good, stomach operations and stuff, but he looks fit enough he works at store in Boldon.
I did'nt know Kenny Nyberg as he's younger than me but I knew his brothers, (not personally) Geoff and Geordie, I'm sure the family lived in Lake Avenue.
You must belong the Marsden area as well as me.
Cisco
I did live at times in Lake Ave. and Quarry Lane
Hi Geordie, used to pass through Lake Ave on the way to school I knew a lot of people round that area, depending on the age group.
Then there's Baldy Smith and Jarrow Pete who used to live in Quarry Lane.
I used to drink in the Lake in my younger days, my main local was the Marsden Inn, like a second home.
