Where do we house the million's of immigrant's that are swamping the country then!!
Yet again England's green and pleasant land, being raped to keep up with the demand of these unwanted people.
The very silly old fool, blame's it on people wanting to live on their own' just when I thought you could'nt get any dafter.

I have solution.

Instead of building up. Build underground. Modern technology really good.

Have plasma screens as windows showing lovely pastoral scenes.

No restriction on home size. It can be as big or as little as you want.

No worries about adding extensions.

Also valuable Countryside not taken away so always there to grow food.

We all go full circle and live like our caveman ancestors did in caves/underground.
I always value Pilots wit and input

It on radio other day for every hundred move abroad half return. Believe it or not they mostly return from France.

France not perfect but it damn site better than some places here.

It have nice atmosphere. (MY OPINION)

I amazed anyone want to return .

It ony when you listen to reasons why that you get the whole picture.

"They feel isolated." And the reason they feel isolated is.

THEY DONT BOTHER TO LEARN THE LANGUAGE.

I astounded at the arrogance of some people that move to a country and not bother to learn the Lingo.

They expect the French to know English.

There is a darker side to this.

Knowing the French they have a sneaky side to them.

You could talk perfect French only for the French to give a Gaulic shrug of

the shoulders to indicate that they couldn't understand anything that you

said. (Even thought they did)

That's what I was thinking.

Keep practicing that thinking. One day you might actually achieve a coherent thought.

Pilot was commenting, I think, on people whose estates were built on the edge of town then complaining when other people want to do the same.

Pilot implied that the greenbelt protesters were hypocrites. Neither the Fellgate or Cleadon greenbelt issues were related to housing.

Where do we call a halt.

Perhaps that's what the Fellgate folk were trying to say?

If it were up to some people nothing would get built ever.

Which people?

I'd be interested to hear how we meet the demand for housing without destroying the green belt.

Why don't you get involved in the Local Development Framework? It's up for it's final consultation phase in the autumn.

Memor. I know a lot of Brits dont make it here. Most come out with the "French Dream" to own an old french house and live in the country. What they do not realise is the actual cost of doing up their "Dream Home". And they do not know what "Living in the Country" really means! They imagine the countryside to be like the English countryside. I. E. Not more than a half hour drive to a big town with supermarkets, cinema etc. Its nothing like that! They discover their "French Dream" really was, just a DREAM! And your right! They hardly ever try to speak French. Then wonder why things are hard! :?

Whatever the problems with housing needs in South Tyneside I don't think they are caused by immigrants or asylum seekers. There are only a small number of asylum seekers housed in places like Horsley Hill and the Tyne Dock flats. I don't think many of them are demanding houses on green belt land.
The 'some people' I was referring to were those who opposed every suggested site for a new school to replace King George/Brinkburn. Not Temple park, not the Chuter Ede site, not the King George site. I can understand the objections to Temple Park but nobody seems to want the new school built anywhere. It seems to be the same with every project nobody wants it built near them.
Presumably based on your logic Rossini development stops when people moving into a village suddenly decide they don't want anyone else doing what they did and moving there. Pulling up the drawbridge.
Anyway thanks for the suggestion on the Local Development Framework. I do involve myself in local matters unlike some who just talk about them. Thats not a dig at you by the way.

So when an immigrant or so called asylum seeker takes over a house where does the ex occupier go.
By the way there is no such thing as an asylum seeker, they are all just convict's escaping punishment from their own country, and the murder's, rape's burgalrie's, and the over crowded prison's speak for themselves.
But people like you lot dont care about the hideous crime's commited
to everyday innocent British people.

That's one of the most ignorant, ill-informed and slightly disturbing posts I've ever read.
Are you serious about all asylum seekers being convicts? Have you ever read up on the subject? Men and women of all colours are being tortured for expressing the same freedom of speech you've just used in your post.
I don't post here that often, but had to say something.
Shocking!
