here is a view looking up the road, thats taylor street on the right and on the left where the road junction is, the eldon pub used to stand, you mother will find it hard to get the location right with all these changes

its a small world, i just noticed today that i pass down that street on my way to work, there is still a handfull of the old houses left, which number did you live at ?

i served my time as a printer at murray hearns in maxwell street, mind you it was just units as it is now the only old part left is the church building at the end of the street

you can still by glass objects sold on ebay that are over 100 years old made at glass works from south shields

if i remember the story i dont even think those poor bairns were from shields i think they were on a day trip to here
