I just been on site and found out.

My all time favourites are Midget Gems made by company called Lions.

Yummy. I also like Pinapple chunks. They really scrummy.

I remember IMPS and sporty mixtures.

It wonder I still have toothy pegs.

Did you see the results of a poll on favourite sweets that found the flying saucer type things that Spodge disliked were in fact the top favourite?

Oh Jimmy, you started something with the sweets,And I can remember them all,but two of my sweet treats were a stick of arrowroot from the chemists(Dawsons on Laygate who also used to do a great ginger wine essence)and Dorsella or if you want National Food for babies, would do anything for some of that in a twist of paper. To see a pregnant neighbour was securing my future supplies. Those were the days!!!!!!!!!

blackjacks. spangles. aztec bars.

They did great ice lolly called "Big Chief."

Which reminds me.

They find ice cream man dead on floor of van he covered in raspberry sauce and covered in hundreds and thousands.

Police say he topped himself.

By the way, does anyone remember liquorice root? (Not really a sweet as such, but I thought I'd ask.)

Candy Necklaces - banned at school becasue charvs ping them at passing teachers and goths.
Jumbo gobstoppers - bought what I thought was a gobstopper the otehr day only to feel cheated due to it being hollow and containing bublegum! grrr!
