Calling all SCANLON in the North East, are you related to Ellen Scanlon born 1885 Hebburn on Tyne. Ellens parents were called Phelin and Bridget Scanlon .
Two of Ellens brothers left the North East to start a new life Phelin jr moved to Canada the other brother Peter in America.

Micky Riley was a good old family friend of the Scanlons, Micky lived for a time in William Street Hebburn, then he moved to Shakespeare Ave Hebburn. I was told a few years after his death (1960s)that he had relations (cousins) living/working in South Tyneside one cousin work in Hebburn Precinct If anyone has information or details regarding any family links please do post a reply below......cheers Rainbow I will post a photo of Micky Riley in my Album on site

They are very helpful when it comes to matters for Hebburn.
There have also been several Quay re-unions held in the Iona Club for the last couple of years of which Alex Nicol is the concert chairman and lived in both William Street around the 1940's and later in Shakespear Avenue up until about 1975.
