Punk isnt really Blink, Alkaline Trio and Greenday (as much as i lurve them)..

And wouldnt this thread be better off in the "Local Bands" thread?

Blink have done so much for modern day bands allowin to get into the mainstream and allowin them to do well for themselves as have the likes of greenday. And i think u can class these bands as punk yet they are modern day punk and i posted this link on the general board as like not enough people visit tht part of the message board thts all for now ben.

punk rock... A form of hard-driving rock 'n' roll originating in the 1970s, characterized by harsh lyrics attacking conventional society and popular culture, and often expressing alienation and anger.

just because blink 182 were not around in the 70's when it all started does not mean they are not punk! i f**king hate topics like this, the arguments could go on forever, end of the day, ok no blink are not the same as the s*x pistols, but they are both still punk! so accept it!
