Mankind should not d*e for a bit of useless out crop of rock.
Then you had best tell the Argentinians that as it was their cynical 'land-grab' that started it. Muggers like to attack the weak, exhibit weakness and you make yourself a prime candidate to be mugged.

No need to lad, i get mugged by the tax man every week.

Why ? to pay to keep a useless cold wet inhospitable dreary piece of rock in place.

Well, were always taught that it was because the area around the Islands was potentially rich in oil. It was only the fact that Argentina would be troublsome if we tried to drill there that was putting us off doing so. It does seem a plausible reason.

We should have given them back to Argentina year's ago so we should.

Gib to Spain also.

England's domination is absolutely worth less now.
We acquired our Colonies when attitudes were very different and we were no different from the other major powers in those times. The problem is: our smaller colonies and territories are usually inhabited by people who like the arrangements they have and don't want to be 'handed back'. The other is: Spain who constantly demands Gibraltar back, shows no signs of wanting to vacate its colonies on the North African Coast, nor the others it still retains around the world. A good many of the people in Argentina laying claim to the Falklands, have names and a language that denotes them as the descendants of the Spanish colonists who violently took possession of the land from the indigenous natives. Sorry Whip, your view is just that - a view - but too simplistic by half.

Spot on Ralph

Usually those doing the demanding have a double standard & are hypocrites large.
Nappies & Politicians should be changed often. Both for the same reason.
I don't have an attitude I have a personality you can't handle.

The British Government is not interested in folk and crazy sheep on the Falkland isle's.

Oil,say's it all.

No oil near Gibraltar, give it back to the Spanish or whoever we grabbed it from.

Not worth the effort to fight over so it's not.
