My sister does not believe there was one so just want to show her.

There used to be goldfish in the size of dolphins!

Now that brings back memories, we used to stop there as young kids to feed the goldfish with bread on a Sunday on the way to the park, we had to scunch up balls of stale bread and lob them over the fence as it was tucked in the corner behind a few bushes, there was also big goldfish and lots of them at the westoe pit water treatment plant at the back left hand corner of westoe cemetary, you needed to climb one of the trees or if tall enough the wall itself to see or feed them, being a bit of a chancer as a young teenager I worked out that with a 14ft freshwater fishing rod a barbless hook and some bread they could be caught easily from the wall which was about 3ft thick and 8 ft high and another lower security fence after that around the pool, I used to go in the very early hours on a weekend with a big white homebrew beer bucket half full of water and the rod catch a few and sell them to the pet shops around town, made quite a bit money over a couple of years in the good weather and didnt even make the slightest dint in their numbers.

I remember as a kid looking at the pond and this great big fin cut through the water. Scared the living daylights.
I always value Pilots wit and input
