What you doing this weekend?

Post by andysfootball » Sat Mar 17, 2018 1:03 am

For me it's

Saturday. Some gardening. Swim in the pool. Cold Pizza for breakfast. Go to the Roller skating rink with Mary and one of her mates. Clean the Garage. Toasted Cheese and Onion Sarney for lunch. Couple of hours down the pub on the punt. Take the labs for a walk around the park. Few rum and Ginger Beers and have a cigar outside. Watch the premier League on Optus Sport.

Sunday. Up early and do a bit of gardening. Go to the markets at Fishermen's Bend Bli Bli with Ling and Mary. Get some breaky there. Go on a bike ride to the beach with Mary. Do a bit or work on the laptop. Go down the pub for an hour. Have a bbq about 5pm. Swim in Pool. Might watch a movie on Netflix but in bed for 8pm at the latest as driving to Brisbane early Monday morning.

Pretty standard weekend for me.

LOL

This weekend:
1) Replace toilet in main bathroom. (Someone slipped out of the shower and broke the tank!)
2) Pile up the remaining snow (ice) in the back garden so that the lawn can start to thaw. (4 degrees C today! a heat wave!)
3) Put gas (petrol) in the new car - only the second time so far. Just over 900 km on the baby!
4) Listen to lots of Bolan/T.Rex. (Gonna be that sort of weekend!)
5) Mandatory grocery shopping. (Prevents mid-week starvation!)
6) Tune up the Wildkat and have a blues/boogie night! (Yeah!)
7) Probably lots of other s**t I have either forgotten or, more likely, don't know about yet!

Got up had some brekkie, then the wife asked me if i wouldnt mind going to the re-cycling village to drop a telly and some other crap off, "of course i wouldn't mind sweetheart" or words to that effect, then i toddled off tto my mates house to help him clear some sfuff out of his garage then back home where i had a quick shower before listened to the Sunderland match on the radio hahaha they never fail to cheer me up  . Probably order a takeaway soon before i go to drop the two lads off at their Grandparents for the night. Then back home to the wife, have our takeaway watch some telly and muck about on my computer for a while..tomorrow well who knows, well we havn't got anything planned yet....

Saturday: Up at 6.30, cup of coffee & avocado on toast with salt, pepper& lemon juice. watch a bit of TV, curse the NRL sides that I tipped & they lost.
One out of 3 so far - just like last weekend. Get on PC for a while. Feed & water birds, have shave & shower to go to church with old footy mates at 1pm. Large congregation today, plenty of lies told & shyte stirring done. Wives turn up at church, stay too long, drink too much altar wine, green beer & Guiness for Paddys Day, go home in taxi. Have tea, shower & bed by 8.30.

Sunday: up at 6.30 for fix of coffee - curse that altar wine............. to be continued ...arrrrrrrrrrrrggh.

Who gets up at 6.30 on a Saturday and Sunday??? I get up at 5.30 every day of the GD week, so sleep-ins are sacrosanct at the weekend.

Currently on my second green gin and bitter lemon!! Have a nice St. Paddy's day, y'all :D

Better them than what you've been importing from the ME, Africa, Pakistan & Bangladesh.

At least Paddys integrate seamlessly.

Last weekend went well. '' St Patricks day ''

Had an hour's wake in memory of Daddy O so we did.

It was the Sunday afterwards that's still distant in my head :?

One thing's for sure so it is, everybody had a great time.
