It's nice to learn that South Tyneside Council, despite having to make cut backs in many essential services, have pledged to continue to finance the Annual Bangla awards in recognition of the valuable contribution our Bangladeshi/Pakistani/Muslim community bring to South Tyneside. Long may this recognition of their contribution continue and as our ethnic population increases, we can celebrate our diversity.
