golden slipper
hi do you remember the golden slipper dance hall at top of dean rd more or less facing the regent cinima i think it was called headworth hall a crowd of us used to go every saturday night in the 60s?

I remember the Hedworth Hall but I had left South Shields by the mid sixties, I think I went there once.

yes i left in 1967 my boyfriend worked at whitburn pit and got a transfer to new ollerton so we got married and started life down there. had a few brief spells in shields before moving to cumbria in 1978

Hutton Moor End is a long way from Whitehaven, Hutton Moor End is
nearer to where my brother has his caravan near Hutton Roof.

It was called Hedworth Hall, it was only the Golden Slipper on a Saturday night as far as I can remember.
