VILLA POP
VILLA POP
I remember the pop man used to turn up every week and we used to buy 5/6 bottles per week, they tasted brilliant the van used to have the sign running along the top with all their flavours Orangeade, Lemonade, Sarspsrilla, Cherryade, Dandelion and Burdock, American Cream soda, LImeade and Raspberryade, we used to make catapults from the elastic bands round the stopper .

Re: VILLA POP
I used to love that dandelion & burdock when it was a new bottle, I used to drink it straight from the bottle until it fealt like it was burning the back of my throat If I was to be honest I dont think I've tasted pop as nice as that since

Re: VILLA POP
We used to get Fentiman's Ginger Beer from the truck on Saturday's, for Sunday dinner.
Never had Ginger Beer like it since.
It used to come in porcelain jugs. And it was actually alcoholic.
My dad stopped buying it for us when he found that out!

Re: VILLA POP
Do you know I was only thinking about "Evans Pop" the other day and wondering whether you could still buy it.
The symbol on the stopper was of a "Hand" I was wondering why, maybe it was a masonic symbol (reading to much Dan Brown)
I thought that was THE best lemonade I have ever tasted. We used to drink it at Sunday Dinner.
I remember we stopped buying it. I think they sold up and we started to get Villa Lemonade.
It was a lot sweeter but us kids still drank it.
I wonder if there is a recipe somewhere.
