how good is your history of south shields

if you sign up you can then post any history of the town you can remember direct to the wiki pages, so if you worked in the pits or yards, remember the bombing raids, have info on old bands from shields etc then you can put your memories down for the whole world to see

Oh I wish I could remember his name. There used to be a historian that used to come on the boards about a year ago who used to post very interesting and informative articles that I used to love to read.
I think he posted a very old map and I asked him about the windmill you could see on the map. And he was able to give a detailed history about it. Maybe you could find those posts and find the poster.
As I am sure he would and could be of value to your quest.
