Trying to find out about Piotrowski family who ran a clock/watch repairers in Westoe Road. Not sure of the correct spelling.
Any info would be appreciated!

I remember old man Pietrowski (Joe?) used to get in the Red Duster in the late 70s/early 80's.
He did some watch repairs for regulars, myslef included.
He used to live quite nearby the pub - either Titian, Copley or Rembrandt Avenue.

Hi, thanks for that info. At least its a start. Do you remember if he had any family? The family I remember had a daughter and we went to school together but that's all I can remember.
Cheers again

Hi Jackie;

yes, he definately had a daughter. She used to pick him up from the bar regularly.
She had some kids, too, I recall - he often talked about his grandsons.

I do remember he used to drink Half-and-half! That was really popular with the older gadgies in those days.
Half Ordinary ale and half Exhibition.
I miss those beers. Didn't rate McEwan's Scotch, but liked the Ex.

Joe once appraised an antique pocket watch for me.
I thought it'd be worth mebbe 100 quid. He said 2000, as it was a verge chain-lever motion, quite rare!!
