SIBERIA
Has anybody seen what the Germans are doing ? sending the serious young offenders to SIBERIA to serve there sentences there they have to work building simple things in the cold also having to supply themselves with the water that they need.
Still costs to keep them but they say only 1 in 5 re-offend, would be good idea here but those mambe pambes here would say it's cruel to treat them so hard, wait till they get mugged.

Re: SIBERIA
Send them to Singapore where there is virtually no crime. Which is not surprising as a few strokes of the rattan is a very good deterrent.

Re: SIBERIA
Siberia, our lousy government would send them to the Caribbean for two weeks, all
exclusive paid holiday, ooop's must not forget the slap on wrist as well
When are we going to get a government that is not afraid of the
bloody do gooders and crack down hard on the offenders.

Re: SIBERIA
How on earth did the Germans get permission to send their offenders out of their own country and to Siberia?
How come Siberia agreed to it? What's in it for them?
What I would like to see, instead of people having to be sent elsewhere, is for conditions to be tough enough in our own countries so that offenders didn't want to re-offend.
Jail plus making all criminals pay (even if it is just deductions out of their unemployment cheque for the next 20 years!) for their crimes or damage would be a start.

Re: SIBERIA
Sort of Wong they invaded in summer but met with so much resistance that they got bogged down and before they knew it winter was on them and of course they were not prepared for winter. If there is a historian among us they will be able to correct the following.
One of the cities that the German army was besieging put up so much resistance that after the war the name of that city was changed from Leningrad to Stalingrad. As I said I am open to correction on the name change.
