Favourite thing about South Shields!!

Whats your favourite thing about South Shields then...??

It can be a place, a person, an attitude, a friendliness etc etc!!

For me my favourite place is in the caves underneath Marsden Rock or D-I-C-K-S-O-N-S off Kings Street to get a saveloy dip!

My favourite person has to be Tommy the Trumpeter or Wavey Davey!

My favourite thing about SS was the road leading out of it.

That was in 1968

Now its modern , vibrant it even has/had a wine bar.

And I not sure but i believe it even has a Tapas bar (near the Town Hall)

closeness of the community, sense of humour, drink like fishes.

I love the beach, the walks along Trow rocks, Marsden Rocks, the lighthouse, and all the birds, and windsurfers, happy running doggies fetching sticks, and all the stuff that goes on on the seafront.

The river is great too, lots of interesting things go on on the riversdie.

I love my favoritist ever Italian restaurant where I'm now well known and looked after by a very nice smiley Italian and have the best food really cheap. (not saying where it is, it's mine all mine!!)

I love how everyone talks and calls me 'hin'. (hope it's not a bad thing, think it might be 'hen' in real life).

I love the jewellry shop Harvey's Moon in Frederick Street, upstairs is full of original artwork and old furniture, it's a treasure den.

Maybe you have to be not from Shields to love it?

and that shop in Fredrick St, is an amazing shop to browse thru ..
and our coast line is a lovley sight, i think most people take it for granted ...
