hmmm. Who the h e l l is stupid enough to buy a car at 11pm at night?? Also it obviously wasn't test driven or mechanically checked out- irretrievable breakdown after 32 miles is serious stuff and anyone with half a brain would have checked the car out, in daylight before handing over the dosh.

Actually, now you mention it, CJ, there is something even odder in this case.
When you buy a car from anyone you have to exchange legal papers. These list name and address of seller/buyer etc.
This is so even when it is a private sale.
I am a bit puzzled as to how a person could buy a car and not have any details of the seller.
