arr bless,,well at least you make the effort Sless, many men would be down the bar, waiting for chuck out time ,then stagger home to his Sunday Dinner.
My Granda did every week, he worked in at the pit all his life,, and every sunday he would visit the Horsley Hill Pub [not there now]it would take him an hour to get home,,one step forward, two steps back,, :D :D :D

Sad to say when you are all alone a Sunday roast is out of the question when you are cooking for one.

Mind you I will humbly accept any kind invitation to help you eat your Sunday roasts.

Mrs P does all the cooking stuff, roasts most Sundays, Yorkshire puds half the size of the plate, her Chinese feast on a Saturday night is renowned.
I voted leave

I make a sunday dinner all fresh apart from yorkshires Aunt bessies. Do not make them so much in the summer but in the winter all the time.
Life is to short to miss out, just go for it.

Sunday dinners are the cullinary height of the week here. Always something special...roast, bbq ribs, steaks, a nice fish; and all the fixings. Today's is fresh beer-battered cod with handcut seasoned chips, italian cole slaw and marinaded artichoke hearts. Mmmmmmm! :D

Sunday roast in this house every week. I have never been able to make yorkshire pud like my mum could.

Northern when I lived in the same town as my brother I always cooked sunday roast for him and his wife. It must be a brother and sister thing.

OH yea...LOVE a roast lamb, baked potatoes, baked pumpkin, and most of all baked onion..MMMMM
lamb has been a tad expensive lately but I can't resist. Beef and chicken just aren't as good as lamb.
I don't do a roast every sunday...mostly in winter...just an easy sunday tea in summer, and only a few roasts....too hot.
I've only had yorkshire pudding once, My brother in law is english and his mum cooked one once , It was nice.
Oh Well, just a bit longer ...sigh !

As a kid right up until I left home to go to work for a living. Every Sunday my father would give my Mum a break from cooking and he would cook a roast meal. Roast duck, Roast Rabbit, Roast Pork, Roast Lamb, and Roast Beef and always roast vegetables and fresh greens all grown in me dad's garden. I loved the roast beef because for a while afterwards we had plenty of dripping to put on our bread. Yummy.

I still make a full sunday dinner, got a bit lazy in recent years and started to buy frozen yorks, but they're not a patch on 'real' ones.....I did however try to make some again last year and they were errrrr well......sh*te  so I stick to the bought stuff now..
