I mean... this is South Shields. It's not da Bronks. It's not West Side, or any of deepest, darkest Londonium.
I just can't read bunkum like this.
So why do people type it? I mean, it must take a lot more thought to work out which letters to use instead of the 'real' ones... so why?

I get the impression that sometimes theyre trying to reproduce an accent.

But why not type properly, and let the reader supply his own accent?!

And it is irritating when youre trying to hold a serious discussion about something.

As an outsider, I would never have been game to complain, but I have to agree. Some of the fake accented 'English" must take twice as long to type up as the direct stuff. I know it takes twice as long to read, anyway.
We only have plain everyday English over here, you see,none of the fancy stuff, so I have to make a special effort. LOL

If you want a prime example of this typing stupidity, look at gazza's postings. Is it because he knows he's got nothing intelligent to say, so has to speak in this stupid way in a panicky attempt to hide the fact? Should he be let near a PC at all?

I used to get irate at people not writing proper English.
I just got over terrible computer virus (b*stards) So maybe dodgy writing is due to computer not being very well.
