I've heard it all now.

No longer should children be told they are "failing" in a subject, they are infact "deferring success".

I'm not surprised people can not take criticism any more.

"Deferred Success"

(Article in The Times 20/07/05)

"A retired primary school teacher thinks that children's aspirations to learn are crushed as soon as they are deemed failures, and that the word should be replaced with "deferred success"."

Political correctness gone mad???

what a complete load of tosh.

How fpissing mollycoddled do people have to be. People need to understand that just cos theyre not good at one thing doesnt mean theyre not good at another. Stop concentrating on failures and how to handle them, and concentrate on the successes!!!

Are they confusing the two words "fail" and "failure".
You can fail an exam without writing yourself off as a "failure".
We've all failed at something in our lives, but we haven't just given up and shot ourselves.

The "Eleven plus." (exam which decided whether you went to Grammar School or not)

Wasn't meant to be FAIL OR PASS.

It was meant to stream you to higher things or not.

So how come when letter came through post they say they sorry I not pass.

There was nothing to pass according to there rules.

Do I sound bitter ???????
