Is this about the Olympic bid jimmy? I never hear the news here and do not buy british propaganda sheets.

My parents 'did' Europe several years ago. They tell me the Brits are into French food in a big way now. Their breakfast (for the next day) at some of the hotels in England consisted of a bag hung over the doorknob, containing a rather limp croissant. LOL
But they still preferred English food to most of the European stuff by a country mile. They were outraged in Italy when they were going to be charged Extra if they wanted a knife and fork to eat their (watery) pasta.
They probably would have had to take out a loan in Sweden just to afford to buy one of their icecreams.
Yes, indeedy, their tour read like a report of "food places I have been".
I wouldn't worry about what your food is like. At least you people speak English.
Sort of.

Now you talking.
It in paper other day how saussage roll got invented.
Apparently English man got so fed up with French breakfasts that he stuffed a sausage into a croissant.
Hey presto the rest is history.
If only the french had thought of it.
