I asked JP. to keep it quiet.>>>>> 8)

I thought France was crying out for builders, there's only one thing to do, go self-employed, I wish I did when I had the chance.>>>>>> 8)

I have in the past allan, but without luck!

I have worked all my life in the building game, but the clients here do not want that. They go for the flash harry with a good line in patter and a posh car. Even though their "experience" in building work, consists of nothing more than once, they assembled an MFI flatpack wardrobe.

I am going to have another go though.

I labour for a small building firm, which is not that bad, like everyone else I have been laid off and been reinstated. After all them years I spent in a factory, working round the clock, now I have it easy, I don't mind being the goffa, I work with brickies, joiners and plasteres, maybe thats why he keeps me on.>>>>>> 8)

If I get a good contract allan, do yo fancy working in France? :)

I have a few quotes to do, but not for a few weeks. I hope I get them, as they are nice little jobs.

The average small builder in the UK is as honest as the day is long! And saintly, compared to the ratbags who come over here and masquerade as builders. The anoying thing here, is that the phoneys seem to do very well! :angry4:

Sorry matey; I stopped travelling a long time ago, commitments at home put a block on it. I was offered a job labouring for a road resurfacing plant and you had to work self-employed, great money but the time away was unreal, three to five weeks at a time and only the odd weekend home. Afraid she put the block on that.>>>>>> 8)
