Don't know if anyones mention these already, but just had one of those Dextrose Energy sweets.
And JUNGLE DRUMS popped into my mind.
Round sweets that fizzed away once in your mouth....lovely.

Highland Toffee also came in paper wrapped blocks with a picture of a formidable member of the Highland cattle breed glowering from the wrapper. Would not risk my teeth on it these days.

Did it also come as 'treacle toffee', 'banana toffee and 'liqourice toffee' where the last two had a yellow and a white layer in the middle - or am I thinking of a different brand?

Re: remember these sweets when you were a kid?
Still got my own teeth which I attribute to sweet rationing in my formative years.
Read on the papers over the weekend that the manufacturers of Highland Toffee ( or Coo Candy as it's known in Scotland because of the picture on the wrapper ) are in financial difficulties. Would not dare tackle a bar of toffee now because of wanting to retain said teeth but it would be a real shame if kids were deprived of an old favourite.

For the benifit of Mr Smith the word is Sweet
I suppose to be correct i should have used the term Natural teeth.
Even false teeth could be called your own if you paid for them.......................is that more to your liking Mr SMith ?
