Last week when I was in Bordeaux, I took a trip out to "Cadillac" and nearby "Condom". Wonder what thet are called?

Then you must have passed right by where I live Captain. No Place is just further up the road towards Beamish from me. Beamish is about a mile and a half up the road. What about Quaking Houses which is in the same vicinity.

My favourite is Northumberland's Shilbottle. It gets renamed by road sign 'editors' so often I don't know why they don't just change the village name.
Would save a mint in sign replacements.

I believe it is a bend in the tyne below where the railway station was.
It got its name in the days of sail from the antics of the crews sailing their ships up and down river.

Cheeseburn always makes me smile because i get funny images of big pils of cheese on fire with people running around shouting "quick call the fire brigade the cheese is on fire"
