When I lived in Bristol and worked as a waitress I was asked sometimes where I came from and replied Newcastle as not many Southerners familiar with Shields and twice people said "Funny I could have sworn you came from S. Shields". Both times they knew people from Shields and recognised the accent. I've been mistaken for Scottish, Irish and Welsh too before though-perhaps because the accent goes up and down the scale a lot.

went to fat mo's in 1973 and advanced to the ranch house in 74 what wonderful years. lol

I have got very fond memories of dancing to rod stewart's maggie may at fat mo's in the early 70's (those were the days)
I moved to australia when i was nearly fifteen so i must have looked old for my age to get past the bouncer :D
