Four more Vidor photos
This production line shot was taken at the Burndept No 2 factory on Station Rd. I t was on the corner of Station Road and Coronation St. The diminutive figure of Doris Slater at the front is operating the 'Dolly Press'. She lived in Princ Edward Rd just past the nook , above a shop.
My Mother, who was a supervisor/forewoman being presented with yet another award. The lady on the right at the back is Miss Alexander who was the personnel Officer. The lovely Pat Paisland looks on (background, left)
This a snap of the canteen at the No 2 factory. My mother at the front. Although I know some of the faces, the names have been lost in the mists of time. c1960s?
Miss Personality c1971, which replaced the Miss burndept/Vidor title. No name again!

great pics Hartman, I used to work at Vidor Batteries (Crompton Parkinson) for a short time around 1970, but can't for the life of me recall any names - memory's just gone blank

Re: Four more Vidor photos
I am proud of my age even though I am mindful that there are a great many people a lot older than I am and there are also a great many who younger.
How was a totally inorganic world able to create organic life? Answer it couldn't and didn't

Re: Four more Vidor photos
Just beat me to it with the 'Black Mix' answer. I used to work in the office 1960/196i and used to collect the time sheets in the factory. Remember Miss Alexander her name was Mamie and we referred to her as 'Auntie Mamie' also remember Pat Peasland.
Some of the nights out were a good laugh. There was a cockney woman called Renee who used to sing when she'd had a drink.
I have a few photos from the personaiity contest days around about 1961.
