I'm sure they look better in the flesh, so to speak.
I really do think they are incedible. I love them.

There aren't many places left in Shields that haven't been changed but one that springs to mind for me is Riddicks Shoe shop at the bottom of Fowler Street, I remember me mam taking me there for all me shoes and plimsolls and such when I was young, can anyone think of anywhere else that hasn't been changed by progress ? 8)

Quite right too.
It would be an easy job to make prints of them and they would look brilliant when
nicely mounted and framed, and I have no doubt they would sell; especially if made
as a limited edition. I't the sort of thing I could do once I get my new printer.

What printer are you after Baldy, I have the Epson R265 and the print quality is excellent, I normally get the family coming to me with their memory cards off their cameras to enhance and print the photos 8)

At the moment I have an Epson Stylus PHOTO R300, but I want an A3 size Canon Pixma 9000 to do
my camera justice. I get ecellent results from my current printer, but I want as near perfection as
I can get.

I remember a couple of them and they are great. As a lover of art for many years these are very good paintings and I appreciated the chance to look at them again. Thank you.

Remember in the good old days we used to see a random collection of our photographs at the top of the page which we could click on and go and look at the rest of that persons photos. Every so often among the photos there would be included a painting done by Baldy.

Baldy how about you put some of your paintings on this thread so I and others can admire them again.

Because my paintings are not local or in any way depicting old South Shields, whereas those posted by sless
are and relevant to this board. That is what this forum is about, South Shields and old memories of it.

You are welcome to admire my paintings if you wish, you'll find them in the Sanddancer Gallery.

Sless, you granda was a very tallented artist, these pictures transport me right back to my childhood - the days of short pants, seggs and scabby knees. They knock this stuff they pass off as 'modern art' into touch. :D
