Yep, just as we thought spring was here we have snow again today, strange weather, as I type large snowflakes and brilliant sunshine, oh well that Shields for you.

Lets just say that as a place Shields is not typecast. Cold one day and freezing the next. Bit like Queensland fine one day and brilliant the next.

Its great I thought I can sit at my computer wearing only my jocks open up Sanddancers and look at snow lying on the ground, and say thank goodness for Queensland.

Yes, well it's windy and freezing in Herts too. White stuff has been lashing down at intervals for two days now. I went out to examine it today. It appears to be a form of thick water.

We have had a bit of that "Thick Water", Jerry. I think its moving down from Ireland. One minute freezing cold and raining, next, beautifull sunshine and warm.

Yes it was snowing heavily outside when I was driving home from Newcastle earlier, the roads were deserted and had a carpet of snow on them

Our Scandinavian neighbours must roar with laughter at us lot every Winter.
A few inches of snow falls, turns into slush within hours and the country practically grinds to a
(predictable) frozen halt.
God knows what we'd do if we had winters like that featured in Barneys picture above.
