Laws/Hanson/Hansen and Jeger families in Shields

Post by NickM »

Hi all
Looking for info or descendants of the above families, am putting together a family history for my sister in law who is a Laws.
Hannah Laws married a Frederick Hanson and had a grocers shop in 1901 in Westoe. Her husband died 1906 and she then ran a boarding house in Saville St in 1911. They had 2 daughters Gladys and Winifred Hansen ( the family were originally Danish and the surname changes on different censuses) Gladys and Winifred marry 2 Latvian sailors John and Bertul Jeger. All 4 live at 39 Horsley Hill Road until their deaths in the 1970/80s.
Also looking for descendents of George and Ada Laws who had a paint glas and oil shop in 1939, they lived in King George Road but think the shop was in Frederick Street or Commercial Road.
Any information gratefully received.
