I used to be good mates with Mel when I worked at streamline, I was also in the DLI with him. I dont know where he lives now but I do know he drinks in that pub in the middle of mortimer road. He was also working in Jennings garage on Newcastle road

is it the "GREY HEN" i used to be married to him many years ago, just wondered how he was doing and how the family were, didnt part on very good terms so im probably last person he.d want to remember

Would that be Mel Chapman (taxi driver) who has a brothers Joe and Derek? (also Paul in Oz) if so he is my cousin, havent seen him for over 25years.

Busy doing my family tree lol its rather addictive and tends to take over everything, but Im back.

my brother is doing our family tree, and he's gone back years.
And he says the same, very addictive.

no mel was a machanic. only got one sister "sharon".

Funny old world,your Mel Chapman is a mechanic and has a sister Sharon and my cousin Mel is involved with motor vehicles and has a sister Karen.
Must get up to Shields one day and look him up, well if I knew where to look.

Mid 1600,s is as far back as I have got with any of my family research. Plus my computer has crashed big time and I have lost the last six weeks worth of input and over 200 names I had on my sister inlaws tree. Just goes to show you should back up at least weekly.
