Blacksmith :D

At the historial Mont De Lancey in Wandin (Yarra Ranges of Victoria)

Courses in Blacksmithing are done here, with accredited certificates. It was a lovely day viewing the whole estate, then to come in from the cold damp raining spring day, into the blacksmith workshop with the fires going, all toasty and warm where I took this photo :D (Some written info from the web site below.)

The Mont De Lancey Blacksmithing Group comprises over 50 enthusiasts who meet every weekend at the authentic Mont De Lancey Blacksmith Shop.

Our aim is to keep the blacksmithing craft alive by demonstrating and sharing the knowledge and skills of forging with hammer and anvil.

The highlight of our year is the annual Australian Blacksmith Convention. The event sees blacksmiths from all over Australia come to Mont De Lancey to display their unique skills and tools for all to enjoy.

We also run four-week-courses every term for those interested in learning to blacksmith and weld. No experience is necessary, and all tools and equipment are supplied. So come along, meet us and join in.

More information is available at the Mont De Lancey Blacksmithing Group web site.

Lovely photo Danet. There is so much in it to look at in it. =D> =D> =D> =D>

When I was a boy I would go into Jock Bonners Black smith and pump the bellows for him. He made me a miniture horse shoe but my mum made me take it back.

This is not an entry, just a picture of some little people in my South Shields model village. Actually it's a cry for some pictures of the Great North Run. I'm seriosly disappointed that a few haven't been snapped and entered.

Great photo Danet. I don't know where to look as there is so much going on in the background. That is something you canjust sit and look at with so much interest.

Xlnt shot danet, love the lighting and it's so interesting. Sless yours is a great different view, took me a while to work it out. It is a kinked roller door right?? Northern, very pretty scene.

Sorry, no, I did it in Photoshop, it is meant to replicate a tilt-shift lens.

The choosing looks like it will be difficult this weekend, keep them coming.

Anyone got GNR pics to share?

This is the first photo I have posted. Sless told me how to do it so if it is wrong I'm gonna blame him!
My son found this huge, hairy caterpillar when we went apple and pumpkin picking in Chester, New Jersey on Monday.
It's hard to tell which end is which!!

Yes, you can take the credit Sless.
I still would have blamed you if it hadn't worked!
I just have to figure out how to make it smaller.
