#-o Oh dang...I just realised, it's supposed to be a current photo in this last week #-o I got so carried away I forgot and put in the pony photo I took a few months ago instead...so I am going to have to disqualify myself :?
I will have to replace it with some recent one, and all I really have is......

thunderdome! Mad Max, eat your heart out....my OH's latest doing while he tinkers in the garage.....it's now a paddock bomb (daughter's ex-car) al la oversized bull-bar   The ole "re-use re-cycle" trick...at least it runs well :D

A bomb in a paddock? :D
 C'mon now guys, are you serious?.....doncha watch Top Gear?  Ah well, it must be the ozzy lingo maybe? Okay, a "bomb" is usually referred to a car when it's a shyte heap and not fit for the road anymore, and decomissioned, de-registered, to spend it's final torque time confined to paddocks on the property instead. Hence a "paddock bomb" :D :D My son first learnt to drive in a paddock bomb, learnt a lot of tecniques and how a car reacts to tricky slippery situations etc. It's probably the same sort of understanding of a car in defense driving schools...which I think all teens should take a course in so they are better more aware drivers. I think it also gets that tempting hoon factor out of their systems too.

hey Danet did you see top gear this week when they took the old ford GTHO phase three around the mount. what a heap haha how he hell can that car be worth 750 000, load of bull ^#%$ !!!! we have a 73 Holden monaro coupe and it is soo much better than that ford and it only worth about 50 000... what a load of poop hahahahah i spose if they are only worth what the last person paid , then he must be a fool payin that much . Yea Yea they have a good record on the mount but they are ugly hahahahaahah

Here is a pic above of one of them GT's at the last hot rod show I went to.
I've never liked them much either, usually it was a bloke's big muscly car, I drove it back then, and thought it was a big clunky heap to drive. I couldn't believe it some time ago, when it was worth as a collectable, about $40,000.....I thought "no way!".....and now it's anything up to and over $100,000 depending on the condition.
The bro-in-law had a limited edition brock commodore, had to sell because the insurance was a killer, and could only get a paltry $12,000 a few short years ago, and now, the bliddy thing is worth over $100,000!!! #-o
It's a bit like them Brighton Beach bathing boxes.....they were $3,000, then $40,000, now it's up and over $100,000
Oh if only I was clever enough to know what to invest in  Ugly cars and wooden beach boxes

I agree and i cant believe the one on top gear was worth 750 000, that guy has rocks in his head for paying that much.
We didn't know our car would be worth that much , OH bought it in 1981 for 2100 hehe, I love it. It's been stored since about 1995, and he is going to restore it totally original. Just bought the headlight surrounds off ebay for $153.00 its going to be an expensive job. But I cant wait to see it back to it's former glory.
Oh Well, just a bit longer ...sigh !

I've been giving it a lot of thought and I reckon that a "Monthly Photo competition"
would be better and a lot less work for those running it, than a weekly one.
Anyone else any views on the matter?

Oh yes, I agree, it would be better as a monthly photo comp, as more people will have more time to take more interesting pics, and more time to go into the comp.
I was hoping we could have a separate forum for photograpers, just like they put up a forum for the politics, which is just not my cup of tea.....I really wish for a photographers forum...please, please, pretty please [-o<
