THE NEXT THREE GAMES ARE AT HOME

Post by passtheball » Wed Dec 26, 2012 11:21 pm

Shields have their next three games at Filtrona Park as they enter the second half of the season, with Celtic Nation on Saturday, December 29th, Darlington 1883 on Saturday, January 5th and Ashington on Tuesday, January 8th. Celtic Nation currently lie 14th in the table, and who narrowly beat Shields 1 : 0 thanks to a deflected shot in August, Darlington 1883 are top and who also again narrowly beat Shields 2 : 1 in October, courtesy of a well remembered Shields 'disallowed' fine goal and a gift in time added on to run out fortunate winners in what was described by Darlo fans as a very lucky win, and Ashington in 11th spot in a comfortable mid table placing. Shields are in dire straits, and desperately need points, plus some decent luck on occasion would also help, and results elsewhere would also without doubt advantage their plight. That said with talisman Ramsey back on the park, and Soulsby plus Colvin not far behind, most hopefully matters may improve, the next few weeks will be crucial to any survival hopes, although and albeit such may be now late in the day ... we shall see how matters soon pan out.

Ouch- They look 3 hard games...4 points from those 3 games and we would have done well. I think we are resigned to relegation this season though its never over until the FAT LADY sings.

If we can purchase the ground it will be much easier for all concerned:- especially the management. I believe we can bounce straight back up, in fact the season where we just missed promotion was an exciting season and of course the season where we got promoted.
