We have just had a new sweet shop open in the town of ashby -de-la-zouch ALLthe old victorian type,i was in today and could not work out which types to have so i bought a pick-mix it cost £6

Couldn't quite get them candy tabs to stay alight. And that chewy tobacco tasted too sweet for me, couldn't keep pipe alight. Them smokers kits were a waste of time.

we should all get together and sue them companys that made Candy Tabs :lol: :lol: they have a lot to answer for :lol: i was on 40 candy tabs a day before i even started school man, and them chocolate lighters were crap, wern't they :lol: :lol:

We had a woman in Grotto Road who made toffee cakes once in a while, I think she sold them for a penny each.

I said this the other day and its not to keep the price down either. Much prefer twix these days =P~ Time for a coffee i think.

Ooooooh! I loved Imps, real black midget gems, spanish, (you can see the theme here :D ) & also the little liquorice pipes with red hundreds & thousands on the end to look like it was lit!
Remember that Fry's chocolate with the boys faces on? Can't remember the name of it. Also coconut ice, lucky bags, crackerjack, iced gems, & ice breaker choc, & oooo cherry lips! =P~

Picture this waiting at Shields station for the next train to N/castle tried the machine that stamped your name.found my weight.....the discovered the chocolate machine must have been the smallest bars of chocolate ever made.............good thing the train came before i spent all my money. :o I think the chocolate was Frys

just remembered Twin cocoanut bars...recon my bike was powered by them the more i bought the further i cycled :roll:

We were so poor we ate clover or fresh grass shoots instead of sweets, those grass shoots were very sweet. I used to dream of coming from the posh end of town like Mr A. :?
