denis and memor. You are both wrong! My brother was employed in the shipyards. He said they didnt do any work! He said they used to go in and drink tea while playing cards. This was on nightshift. But maybe dayshift was different? :P

I CAN REMEMBER WORKING IN THE DOUBLE BOTTEMS AS A PLUMBER ,A VERY DIRTY JOB

Brighams had a good Sunday League team in the mid 60s. I remember their matches against Club 21 at the Bents Park.

And the early eighties, when they won the league and cup. Not so good in the mid-eighties when I played for them :D

Talking of Bottom cleaning.

I vaguely remember having bottom cleaned by Mama Maplin in the fifties.
