2nd World War child evacuees

Post by Rustic123 »

I'm tracing my family tree. My mother was apparently evacuated as a child in the 2nd world war from South Shields. Does anyone know where she would have been sent too. Is there a list somewhere of these children?

i'm taking a trip mates.
and i'll see them on fiddler' green.

I had a couple of relatives who evacuated to Cockermouth in the Lake District.
