wow so the rattler used to actually be a real train???!!! i thought it was just put there for show, what about the one up seaburn was that a real train too? the puffin billy i thnik it was called!

how come the 1st class fare is 3d and the second class is 4d???

the first class ticket is a lot older, then once the national coal board took over they must have put the price of the tickets up

My sister worked in a hotel in Brighton in the '60s and met Sir John Betjeman the poet. He guessed at her accent. Irish? Welsh? Then she explained she was from South Shields. 'Ah, ' said the great man, 'the Marsden Rattler!'
